About Dr. Annmarie Mica
I am a caring, flexible, and down-to-Earth licensed psychotherapist who enjoys integrating traditional and modern psychotherapy approaches with the outdoors. The skills I have learned from outdoor activities and psychotherapy across a variety of settings leave me excited about providing therapy outdoors for adults, parents, and couples. This is a specialty I provide for clients who do better outside of the walls of an office and/or prefer meeting in person rather than via telehealth.
I also enjoy helping clients who are just as comfortable in a traditional office setting for their therapy. After all, I believe therapy should be a place in which you feel comfortable enough to open up, inside or out.
Telehealth is also a great option for meeting for therapy when distance is a factor and when the weather does not cooperate. It also opens up options for incorporating nature and the outdoors that meeting in a brick and mortar space might not.
As a fully licensed clinical psychologist with both the state of Maine and the state of Massachussetts, I can provide services to folks located in either state via telehealth. Please contact me for more information.

Presentation on Psychotherapy Outdoors
I am a licensed Psychologist in both Maine (License # PS1503) and Massachusetts (License # 9875) with almost 20 years of experience working with individuals in a psychotherapy setting, helping them learn about themselves, connect with others, and learn various therapeutic skills to handle life's challenges. I have used a variety of approaches over the years, depending on clients' needs, to address acute crises and ongoing issues, both brief and longer term. I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings from schools, to private outpatient practice, to hospitals, and the community. I have experience with severe acute and chronic mental health issues, as well as everyday concerns. Many of my past clients worked on managing anxiety, depression, attention and executive functioning issues, interpersonal concerns, self improvement, and life stressors.
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from William James College (formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) in 2011.
Finding a therapist that's the right match for you is important in making changes in your life. I encourage you to ask as many questions as you need to decide whether working with me feels comfortable and makes sense for you.
